The Nice to Saint-Tropez route in detail
Saint-Tropez lies 115 kilometres from Nice airport, roughly 1h35 by road out of season. The route follows the A8 to Le Muy or Fréjus, then the departmental road around the gulf through Sainte-Maxime and Port Grimaud.
In July and August the final stretch — the D98A into Saint-Tropez — is the bottleneck and can add 45 minutes to an hour in the late afternoon. Our chauffeurs leave accordingly and know the inland detours via Gassin and Ramatuelle when the coast road is gridlocked.
Distance: 115 km from Nice Côte d'Azur airport
Average duration: 1h35 off-season, up to 2h30 in August
Route: A8 then D25 / D559 via Sainte-Maxime and Port Grimaud
Water, wifi and child seats on board
Meet & greet at Nice airport
Your chauffeur tracks your flight in real time and waits in the Terminal 1 or 2 arrivals hall with a name sign. Waiting time after landing is included to cover passport control and baggage reclaim; if the aircraft is delayed the pick-up simply shifts, at no extra cost.
For private jet arrivals we meet you at the business aviation terminal, as close to the aircraft as the airport's rules allow.
Drop-off in Saint-Tropez and the peninsula
We serve the village and the whole peninsula: the Old Port and your boat's berth, Place des Lices, hotels in the centre and along the route des Salins, the Pampelonne beaches, Gassin, Ramatuelle, La Croix-Valmer and Port Grimaud.
Much of central Saint-Tropez is pedestrianised or subject to seasonal restrictions. We drop you at the nearest authorised access point to your address and carry your luggage to the door where possible.
Car, boat or helicopter: what to choose
Three options exist from Nice. The shuttle boat from Nice or Cannes is pleasant but weather-dependent, runs to fixed times and needs a connection from the airport. A helicopter takes 25 minutes but costs several times a road transfer and still requires a car at the other end.
A chauffeur-driven car remains the most flexible: door to door, no luggage limit, available at any hour including night flights and shifted arrivals. It is also the only option that drops you directly at a villa on the peninsula.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a transfer from Nice airport to Saint-Tropez?
Fares start at €305 in a sedan, tolls and fuel included. For a family or a group with bulky luggage the Mercedes V-Class van is usually recommended; the exact price is calculated from the vehicle and the drop-off address, then confirmed before you validate.
How long does the Nice to Saint-Tropez transfer take?
About 1h35 out of season. In July and August, and especially on Saturday afternoons, allow 2h to 2h30 because of congestion on the way into the peninsula.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Your chauffeur tracks the flight number live and adjusts arrival time. Waiting caused by an aircraft delay is included: no surcharge is applied and your booking stands.
Can you drive us straight to the Pampelonne beaches?
Yes. We serve the whole beach road, plus Gassin, Ramatuelle and La Croix-Valmer. Give us the name of the beach club or villa at booking: some accesses are seasonally restricted and we plan the route accordingly.
How much luggage can I bring?
The sedan takes 3 passengers with 3 suitcases, the First Class 3 passengers with 3 large cases, and the van up to 7 passengers with 7 bags. Flag special equipment (golf, boards, diving gear) at booking so the right vehicle is assigned.
Can you do an early morning return to the airport?
Yes, we operate 24/7, including 4am pick-ups for early flights. In high season we recommend allowing 3h30 between leaving Saint-Tropez and take-off.
